The installation UP evolved from an earlier work titled Light Mirrors created in 2023. In both works, floating stoneware bowls become reflective surfaces for light, movement, and perception.

Influenced by dance and figure skating, the installation explores moments in which heaviness seems to dissolve and movement becomes stillness.

None of the bowls are perfectly symmetrical, nor are their glazed surfaces completely uniform. These irregularities are intentional. I am not interested in industrial perfection, but in individuality, spontaneity, and vitality.

Depending on light and the viewer’s position, the bowls transform into shifting mirrors of reflection and shadow. The play of light animates the surfaces and gives each form its own presence.
