With gentle yet firm pressure, my fingers press into the spherical form of clay.
Gradually, a bowl takes shape, until it rests softly rounded in my hands.

The base remains thick and weighted,
allowing the bowl to find its own balance.
Towards the rim, however, it becomes thin and delicate —
my fingers leaving dancing traces
or perfectly smooth surfaces.
