This series of sculptures was created for the exhibition HANDeln at KUNST:WERK St. Pölten in 2020 — an invitation to reflect on humanity’s most important tool.

A homage to the hands that give me true joy, transforming the formless into form, holding the child within with tenderness and care, expressing strength and freedom.

My fingers playfully shape small episodes from my everyday artistic life into clay. They leave traces and imprints in the sculptures — no longer visible once finished, yet still felt.

My hand: tool, motif and self-portrait in one.
